Roll searchers: FED or BRINKS?
I've been asking banks in my area (Atlanta) if they could order boxes of halves for me. Most banks apparently get their coin/currency through Brinks service, although one bank tells me they order directly from the Federal Reserve. So my question is, which will most likely yield the most silver: coins from a private company (Brinks), or coins directly from the FED?

<< <i>Neither. With the complete lack of silver I have found thus far, I am beginning to think that the people who roll them separate it right at the source. >>
I doubt this since their business is rolling coin and not collecting it. Rolling machine operators don't have the time to go through the coin before its rolled. Only if it gets rejected.
There is a ton of silver still out there but you just have to be patient and methodical in your searches.
AND....have lots of money to tie up in $500 boxes.
The name is LEE!
Neither if you are serious about findind silver. Use a bank in the bad part of town right before the holidays.
Back when I bothered with halves, my best scores come from banks that need and have bullet-proof glass.
