<< <i>Q: Is there a return policy on this item .Description says no ,bottom of page says yes. Sep-16-07
A: Hi- Sorry for the confusion. We're currently running an inventory clearance promotion, so all sales on this and similar items are final- no returns. Thank you for your email- NFC >>

Is this because of the new eBay policy?

That is one fugly coin...at least it's retoning from that harsh cleaning!

An sliderish Morgan with no return policy in an NNC holder? What could be better? Inventory blow out sale brought to your by your friends at TNFC.

    Ugly slider at best!

That is an ugly, harshly cleaned slider coin, as many 1884-S Morgans seem to be. That was way too much for that coin.

Since I have no interest in that coin, I'd pay melt for that at best (though I know it's worth more.)
  • I'd have to keep that coin in my SDB so I wouldn't have to look at it.

  • WOW, somebody over-paid bigtime for that fugly coin!

I contacted the winner Johnboy, and filled him in. The coin has MS details, but something isn't right.

As someone else eluded to, cleaned most likely.

Thankyou TNFC, for helping to destroy the hobby. This guy will find as soon as he takes it to a B&M,

and says"whats it worth", his jaw will then hit the floor.

Ebay wouldn't allow me to contact the winner of the Morgan. Good ol Ebay looking out for consumers.

I also tried to contact him through a different channel, no luck. Another newb collector that gets burned.

    <<That coin is FUGLY>>

Well stated. TNFC may be laughing all the way to the bank,

but another collector may never return after this ass beating.

Thankyou TNFC for ripping another collector.

The "winner" of this auction has been around eBay for a long time (4,125 transactions) so he should have figured out by now what's going on so don't feel too sorry for him.

Doesn't seem hard to me just click on his number and go to one of his auctions and tell him from his auction.
  • Maybe the ebay buyer john-boy6 has a buyer in mind for it ????

I agree. This isn't a case of some poor newb who doesn't know any better. In fact, the guy is a power seller.

Edited to add: Who sells plenty of crap slabs himself.

the buyer is also high bidder on a whole buncha crap slabs that ends in an hour. wonder what he'll do with them, as they won't be as easy to market soon enough. maybe pawn them off to the unsuspecting at a local show?

  • Maybe the buyer wants to crack it out of that NNC slab and send it in to SGS to get a 70
  • SGS only gives MS70s to their own pushers, but still funny as hell.
