The obv die crack from stars to date and reverse crack through the bottom of the O in OF
Obverse 9 was used on 4 different marriages,
interesting that the crack below the date looks like the bottom of the 0 & 6 crumbled away.
Since many of the reverse identifiers are worn off, you look around.
The location of the first "A" of America to the feathers becomes one, with the die crack through
the top of United.
Id's this with Rev K.

I wonder how many eBay sellers would try to pass your 1806 Half off as an "Almost AU" or "Nearly EF" or "Unholed with limited circulation wear." ???

That's a clashmark of the deepest fold on the drapery.

You should see what the next use of this obverse looks like!

Here's words of experience from someone who knows how to attribute! I'll remember you next time I buy a roll of low grade 1827s!
<< <i>you think that is worn, how about this one...? >>
With good pics or the coin in hand, I bet it can be attributed. Steve Herrman attributed the only bust half from the SS Central America. If you think that's no big deal, that coin had a piece of wood fused to the obverse, it had a large rough hole and it graded only slightly better than this nearly slick one. Without even knowing what year the coin was, it took Herrman a couple hours to do what many, including Glenn Peterson, said couldn't be done
I don't know what the current Bust quarter book is, used to be Browning and Duphorne or whatever is current.
But if they are anything like Overton's pictures the quarter marriage could be identified!
The 1807's date in location to the base of the Bust, then theres the die chip on the throat.
Or the lower star to the scroll and Eagle's beak.
So, when are you mailing out that roll of 1827's???

They can always say those lines are planchet adjusting marks !...
I heard that Steve Herrman did that, that would be kind of interesting to try.
