  I have made that choice before and took the higher grade with problems. My reason is simple - I prefer a coin with more detail. The EAC people always advise to do the opposite. One truly rare coins, I don't think it matters as much as filling an empty spot in one's collection.

  Actually, I took "D". I quit collecting a series that had that one (or two) impossible coin(s) that I knew I would never be able to afford.

  Spare your best friend's life!! Adopt an adult dog at your local "kill" animal shelter. You will be changed.

  that is a vry interesting comment. I have spent less time on my seated half dollar collection. I know the 1878 S will be a problem. I actually picked up Seated Dollars again.
