    Knuckles,

I just sent you a private message but I'm not real sure how to use that yet, so if you don't get it, please email me at navarro@flash.net

    Thanks,

This one was made by Garret some time ago and ceremoniously sits on my desk in a holder.

It's postcard sized - and I may eventually send it to PSA to be holdered.

    Thanx Garret!

I'm honoured that one of my works has a place on your desk Mike image it's nice to see cards I've made in the past here and there. I really need to put signaturecuts.com back up to display everything let alone explain pricing..

I'm assuming you make the cards big and then cut them down to 3x5 or 2.5x3.5?

Otherwise making edges line up would seem exhausting.

  • KnucklesKnuckles Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭
They do have a few millimetres of excess so that when I do trim around them they end up at 2.5x3.5. Some don't come out exact though and may be a few millimetres shorter or so than others.. Rare but it will happen when trying to make the measurments from top to bottom all around equal sometimes.

    Thanks Reese. image

  • I bought another Bill Ripken auto'd ball and a auto'd mini bat for $10 shipped. I plan on cutting those up and making cards as well. Im waiting until I get all my templates and then getting them printed at a shop and I'll post them when finished. Im no expert so they wont be that cool. The bat cutting might be a toughie sine I dont have access to the right tools. Probally just cut it and hand sand it until its semi thin.

Since I moved the pics here they are again.

Template for the auto balls and a similar template for the bat

This one I need to move up the pic, darker website name and I will inset some leftover ball/bat pieces in this one. Its a combination of my 2 favorite cards. 1989 Fleer and 2005 Bowman (because of my Russ Martin obsession)

On the Topps/Beckett message boards there is a few people who make cards there. One guy prints them, the others are just images..

Did anyone else attempt to make their cards? Just curious, this was a really cool thread

  • WOW Garret, really nice work! I'm still in the hunt for some good autos to send to youimage I was just wondering, do you make the cards the same size as regular cards? For some reason they look bigger then regular cards, I wouldn't want a bigger card, a reagular sized card would be very coolimage

Garret can make cards however you like them. For my collection that he is doing, it is about 85% regular sized cards and 15% Tall Boys, with 1 Ticket sized card.
    Thanks

What service do you use when submitting these to PSA/DNA. Is it the $20 fee?

Since these aren't official trading cards, the fee is based on the player.

I haven't found a place to get the cards cut out so that they would be consistently the same size.

This is the last for me for a while. These are all the ICs I have that fit card size. I may later increase them to 3.5x5. Which is the same proportions (close enough) as cards.

  • There were some pretty cool cut signature cards on eBay the last couple days. I think all with PSA DNA stickers, or at least most. Not as cool as Knuckles cards but did anyone win any? I forgot to look at the bids before closing.

One day I will try and get it slabbed but for now just enjoying it. I purchased a team signed sheet on Ebay and Knuckles did the rest.

Will McEnaney is the missing photo. I believe that was the one year, 1977, he played for the Expos.
