I know this is sacreligious but would dipping help this coin out? Can it be any worse off than it is now?

This is a dip candidate for sure. The problem is these white spots don't dip off very well, if I remember correctly. I never did try dipping them myself. No, it is not sacreligious to dip a POS like that. However it is worth 1 oz of silver for sure.
