It's all Darkmane's fault for starting that "Best dealer sites on the net..." thread not too long ago...

cohodk---I know, it's tough NOT to buy something when looking through those inventories.

Anybody else want to post a cool toned World coin?

Really nice coin, but you know once you go foreign there's no turning back.... As there's just too much nice stuff out there at chump change compared to USA coinage.

I'm very tempted by this spectacular 1855 Germany Frankfurt 2 Gulden PCGS MS67 that Evan Gale at www.aprci.com has, but not sure how it would fit my collecting goals?

I'm still on the fence on this one with one foot dangling on each side! image

    Broadstruck, that is very pretty!
As for how it might fit your collecting goals: I don't think a beauty like that would hinder those goals at all!...whatever they may be. image

Thanks Seattle Slammer... I know! I'm just amazed at the beauty of some of the German patterns and their cost compared to the US counterparts... maybe in another lifetime?

Also I want to thank Darkmane for his dealer website post as Carl and Jade are new to me but now saved to favorites!

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.

Lee, Great looking Proof Pattern! Odd but without surfing the web and running across these, I have never seen one in any coin shop while traveling through Europe.

1913-A Prussia: 3 Marks, NGC Proof 65 cameo

mintage of only 6,000 proofs. this one is only one of two cameos graded by NGC of this issue, this one being the higher of the two grades

Cool, thanks for sharing those everybody....

LeeG, I'm glad I beat you to the punch!
But I know when I look at a coin for a couple of weeks and DON'T pull the trigger, it usually means I'm about to run into something that I like even more, and I'm usually happy I chose to cool my jets. image As you know, when a coin speaks to you, it speaks to you loudly!

The problem I have is I love all kinds of coins...so usually several coins speak loudly to me at once...it's so hard to choose!

Very nice coins in this thread too, by the way. image
