<< <i>VAM-14.8, a very good one to find! >>
Thanks for the response. Is the coin a Proof or Business strike? Both sides are proof-like for sure. However, the edges don't appear to be a Proof strike.
Also, after researching the 14.8, it appears the Business strike may be more valuable than the Proof issue. Is that true??
Once again, Thanks .....

Hello To All ...
The coin has been graded NGC MS-61 / VAM-14.8. Any thoughts for the coin's value?
Thanks ... Ken
is worth the same....but in a PCGS 61 holder, more...maybe 3,000?
In other words, I'd cross at grade before selling it.

That's interesting. It's my understanding a PCGS AU-58 sold for almost $4K at a private sale in February, 2007.
It appears the coin is almost never offered for sale ... perhaps less than 30/40 known. I have one offer in the $4,500 range but will do more research. I suspect the carbon spot can be removed and the coin would then grade at least MS-62 or MS-63. In any event, thanks for the response.

Yes, same coin. Way overpriced at resale in my opinion. If that's a serious offer you've received, I'd consider it strongly.

Heritage sold a PCGS MS-64 in 2005 for $5,750 (includes 15% buyer's fee). I think you need to confirm the veracity of the supposed private sale of a PCGS-58 for around $4,000. If true, somebody got hosed big time!!

If you received an offer in the $4, 500 range for an NGC-61, you're looking the gift horse in the mouth.
