1892-S vam 2 Morgan not sold on TT

TT auction last night (Thurs) had an 1892-S in an NGC AU53 holder that was an unattributed vam 2 (a tough top 100 vam). I thought the starting price was more than reasonable ($1700), but no one bid on it. I didn't need the coin, so I didn't bid, but I was surprised that it went unsold. Did it go unnoticed, or was the price too high? Or was everyone concentrating on the 21-D vam 3a?

That was its third strike. I saw it each time and wasn't interested based on the reserve for the quality of the coin personally. I like my 45 better.

Actually, I am thinking of that ANACS 53 that was up for the third time on Wednesday. I wasn't so sure of the NGC coin yesterday, though it looked a little promising. Decided to only follow that 21-D 3A.
