Wow. Is it just me or does that POS have the "look" of being a 1921?
    When in doubt, don't.

    Dennis,

It does indeed have the 1921 reverse...not used until 1921 of course....LOL.

    Jack:

It sure looks like it has the 1921 obverse too.
    When in doubt, don't.

notice also how the lettering and stars are nice and sharp while the strike for miss liberty looks worn. the "9" in the date is wrong. and the "CC" mintmark looks like its from an 1878 Morgan(squat CC)

I noticed the seller didn't state a return policy so I asked him what it was, pointing out that there are lots of fakes and counterfeits of this date out there. Here's what he said (sorry about the spelling, punctuation and all-caps, but that's how he sent it):

HELLO, I HAVE PUT A MAGNET TO IT AND IT DOES NOT STICK, IT IS SAME THICKNESS AS ALL MY OTHER MORGANS. AND SOUNDS THE SAME ON TABLE, I WILL OFFER A 7 DAY REFUND, IF NOT HAPPY WITH COIN, I AM A TRUSTED SELLER HERE AND DONT WANT TO RUIN IT OR HAVE ANY HARD FEELINGS, IF YO WANT TO KNOW IF I AM A TRUSTED SELLER ASK (omitted to protect someone who may be innocent) IS HIS USER ID. THANKS

He put a magnet to it so it must be real! image

I'm sure the auction will be pulled, but I don't think anyone is dumb enough to pay $2k for a raw key date coin.

Yes, it's the wrong reverse, obverse and all other verses. It's a chinese couterfeit and I too emailed the
seller and got this response: HELLO, THANK YOU, I WILL END LISTING, THANKS AGAIN

All caps and now maybe he'll do the right thing,

The seller withdrew the listing moments ago, as I was reporting it.

Splended work ladies and gentlemen. Exposing counterfeit coins and crooked dealers
was once a very lonely undertaking.

It does. Whoever did it merely changed the date and MM.

Link to New Auction Same Counterfeit

E-Mail the guy and tell him the crime he is committing.

Maybe he'll pull it on his own. E-Bay doesn't care
