If you look through feedback comments, this person has sold some higher-end gold at good prices to happy customers.

i will take a stab and say that the coin is a low end MS and anything too good to be true ussually is.

people on ebay do not really have the best ethics you know.

    his "story" sorta confirms that.

AS GOOD AS IT GETS...VIRTUALLY NO MARKS OR IMPERFECTIONS WHATSOEVER!!!

i can see the marks and imperfections.

I'm as cynical as the next, but look at the feedback!, this seller doesn't appear to be trying to scam (as pointed out by PCGS 65 guarantee).

  • nnc 66 = pcgs au58
  • Seems the seller is real honest and all, but the coin will never cross at 65

Someones going to learn an expensive lesson in junk holders whether it be the bidder or seller.

The coin is more than likely an AU than a gem status grade.

Ebay should allow sellers to ONLY list and sell NGC/PCGS & ANACS coins.

I myself think its a crime and it will eventually be recognized as one... image

Even if it does go 65 which I doubt the price guide is only showing it as a $4000 coin in 65. I think pretty much everyone agrees that the price guide is a little steep from real world pricing. So why bother to begin with is all I'm wondering?
I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

    He's a keyword spammer, too.
  • I think the coin might MS65 at PCGS. It has nice luster. Of course it is impossible to tell from the picture. The point is, with Saints, you either get luster and marks or very few marks and no luster at the MS65 level assuming good strikes. Lots of folks primarily focus on marks. When I was much younger I had a 1909/8 Saint in a PCGS MS63 holder that was so clean I thought it was MS65. But I didn't understand luster then. Saintguru posted pictures of two Saints, same date, same grade. He owned the clean one while the other had tremendous luster and some marks. The point he was trying to make was his was better. Quite a few people didn't agree including me. Later he said his coin had a lot more luster than the picture showed.
I'd rather be lucky than good.

If you're going to spend $4k on a saint, why wouldn't you buy a pq example already slabbed by somebody respectable.... ? image

Some folks like buying lottery tickets. Also some folks are fools and do stupid things with their money.

Some folks believe that the ticket they are buying is the winner. Coins like the subject of this post are like lottery tickets. A small percentage come in as winners or break even, the majority are losers, some big losers. Some folks like the excitement and the possibility of a winner. There are a lot of stupid/foolish people buying coins. Some of them have a lot of money to burn. The more I read the forum, the higher my perceived percentage seems to get.

A lot of sellers don't care about what happens after the coin is sold as long as the seller makes their profit. Many sellers even strut around the forum and brag about their big profits when the folks they sold to have big losses.
