I'll take the whole lot Joe. Check's on the way! image

Seriously though, lots of good stuff there, with good prices too. You should have no trouble moving a lot of it. Good luck.

Man, this thread is a virtual whos-who of guys I don't particularly trust in this hobby for one reason or another...With the exceptions of FavreFan1971 and jimq112 who are both solid and trusted in my book...

    Birds of a feather I guess...lol

You really think you are holier than thou, don't you? What an absolute joke. If you want to look for guys to mistrust, you can start by taking a look in the mirror. All of the guys on this board were pulling for Joe to keep the Berry 8. Why do you think that is? Here's a hint. It's not just because he's a good guy. Why dont you just stick with keeping your nose glued to eBay, mind your own business, and keep your lol's to yourself?

Shag, if you can find one guy I've wronged in this hobby, I'd love to speak with them. Would you like to discuss the reason that you and i no longer speak???? I doubt you'd want to do it on a public board and ruin your reputation..I still have all of the old e-mails and bid histories from that fiasco if you want to go there...I've never publically discussed it or tried to dog you on it in any way...

I also have no problem with anyone who wanted Joe to keep the Berry 8. We are all entitled to opinions and I respect that. But I also have mine, and if this is going to be a discussion on who we will and who we won't sell to on these boards because of issues of mistrust then my statements fully belong right here in thie thread. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

For the record, I have done business with Joe AFTER the 1957 Berry event...I don't hold any grudge against him personally, but I also don't forget. I'm not going to get into the play-by-play on everything, I just thought it was funny to see half of the guys I feel operate with low integrity posting on one thread...

    LOL

I have nothing to hide, and I never have. And I too have a record of everything, including your last e-mail to me. I'm not going there again. It's over and done with. We both have better things to do with our time than to get into message board pissing matches, and I'm not going to continue this one. I enjoy reading and posting on these boards too much to turn it into something ugly. But I will not have someone calling me out as someone who can't be trusted. I've done way, way, way too many deals with guys on these boards for someone to believe that anyway.

    Agreed.

And every single one of those guys has the right to come on here and post how great you are to deal with. I used to be one of those guys who gave EVERYONE I talked to rave reviews about you. Thats what made what you did even worse IMO. For me personally, who knows how low you stooped its only fair for me to post my own opinion based on past dealing with you.

In summary, you were a great guy to deal with for about a year and a half until one day for some unknown reason you turned on a friend. My guess it had to do with $$$ signs in your eyes, but that's just speculation on my part. Anyone that would stab a friend in the back for a card or for a few extra $$$ is more dangerous than any unknown ebay seller. Maybe it was a one time thing and you learned sometype of lesson from it..Then again, maybe you're sucking them in like you did me..Gain their trust and then draw the sword...

Just funny that the only 2 guys who I've ever had an issue like that with posted in this thread...Sorry, but just had to point it out...LOL

i find it very hypocrytical of you to talk about a "friend" stabbing someone in the back which is what youve been doing on this thread. If you think $$$ is not a factor in all card deals, than your more naive than I ever took you for. I dont need to wait for a rattlesnake to bite me to know its dangerous, so i will take that approach with you from here on out.

Also, adding LOL after you insult someone on a public forum does not make it OK, so you can stop doing that anytime soon

    Joe,

When someone I consider a friend chooses to stab me in the back over a money related issue, then that is someone I would deem less trustworthy and no longer consider them a "friend"...MANY MANY MANY times since I have been collecting the NFL HOFers, I could have EASILY trumped someones deal or ran someone up on an auction, etc, etc, etc. But I do not play that way because for me integrity and honesty ESPECIALLY to those I value as friends is more important. If you feel different, then that is your business, but it's my business to call you out when it seems you are blasting others on this forum for similar actions.

This rattlesnake has never once bitten a friend, including you. This is me simply telling it how it is on a subject that you were happily indulging in before I said a word.

Just to be clear to anyone reading this, Joe NEVER screwed me on a deal where I was the buyer and he was the seller. I've gotten a couple of PMs that illuded to that, but it is not the case. I have done buyer/seller business with Joe as recently as last week. The difference now is that it is strictly business no different than any other random unknown ebayer.

    Edited to add: LOL

    Jason,

You know that I like you but your comment was unnecessary (except for Tubby who is a tool). Personally, I like Joe and Shag quite a bit - I think they're both stand up guys. You might disagree and have every right to but let's all keep our feelings out of the public domain (once again, except for Tubby).

Let's all hug and move on.

    Regards,

Yes, I certainly did. I learned that you are not someone who I care to call a "friend".

Joe, I'm sorry your thread has gone so astray. I won't hijack it any further. Good luck your sales buddy.

Greg, the issues I had with Shag and with Joe were between 2-8 months ago. I havent posted or said a word about them. Then i see all these threads were specifically Joe (in a public forum) is railing on someone (Tubby). Rightly or wrongly, tool or no tool, it rubbed me wrong to see a guy who I feel wronged me in some way doing that. Then it struck me to see Shag also posting on the same thread, when it reality he screwed me over much worse than Joe. Seemed appropriate at the time.

I respect your opinion, and wonder if you had been screwed by either of these guys would you feel the same.

As I said, I do still deal with Joe, although for me its strictly business level. I havent dealt with Shag on any level since our event and wouldnt for any reason. If you were in my shoes in this situation I am confident you would take the same stand because IMO you truly are one of the stand up guys.

You are right about that, and you weren't given the option to be one. If you are willing to air this here for the world Andy, lets post the entire scenario for all to read and let the others decide. I'm willing 1,000,000% to do that.

Based on the events that transpired, I would LOVE to let everyone see exactly what you did to make me feel the way I do. And i'd LOVE to know exactly what I did to you, other than to tell you off for screwing me over...

I've never really dealt with any of you in terms of buying and selling, so I'm a compeltely impartial observer here.

I'm confused as to this public display of he said/she said, but without any information of what he said or she said. Obviously, if one were to come here and say "So and so screwed me over" then we'd all be curious to hear about it. However, all I'm reading is "You screwed me over but I won't make this public" and "No, you're the one who's shady, but I won't elaborate." Why not just do all this privately in PM's or emails if you don't want to tell the details?

Personally, if someone on these boards did something I felt was shady/unethical, I'd happily post about it. You all seem like decent guys, so why not either bury the hatchet privately or air out your dirty laundry to let us as a community decide who screwed who? Seems like those are both better alternatives than quietly (or not so quietly) holding a grudge.
