So easily convinced. I believe Russ is selling a bridge, too, and can offer you a great deal. The strike isn't weak. The problem is that you have put your fate in the hands of those that have difficulty differentiating between a 70 and a 69, depending upon the day.

I took your photos and downloaded them and applied a little sharpening to them. There is nothing about your coin that looks weakly struck to me. I think your shot just isn't very sharp.
Here are ten unscreened! coins I got back last week from NGC out of a Sealed Box from the Mint.
001 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 70 002 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 70 003 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69 004 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 70 005 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69 006 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69 007 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69 008 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 70 009 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69 010 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69
Unless it's a process change between 2006 to 2007?
Come to think of it, is it me or do the 2007 W's look 'whiter' than the 2006's?
Another one that doesn't screen, and gets 40% 70's. WTF x 10.
Maybe the power was out when they graded mine, tough to see in the dark.
Is it possible NGC is trying to hook me into another submission?
I'm a casual submitter, could that be it? >>
It is also possible that there is a mark on the edge that you do not see. If this is the case it is because of the mint and not NGC. I have had both good and bad submissions and I would hate to blame the graders unless they do a percentage with intent. We can't prove that without an internal memo.

I took the reeded edge into consideration, nothing I could see.
Next time I'm not screening anything, just go with it.
I guess if the grade don't fit, rejoin PCGS and resubmit.
I pre screened from a box of 100 2007 W ASE and found seven that I sent to NGC, all checked at 10x they were flawless, no breaks in frosting, no tic's, no rubs at all, 3 came back 70's and four came back 69's, all the 69's had several noticable tic's on them after grading, I chalk that up to rough handeling by NGC or the fact that I did not get back what I sent them!
BTW: After that I bought a Platinum PCGS Membership.

Yeah, that's the hard part......you know what you sent in, you can even have pics, but for something clean and generic, without have video of the coin(s) each and every step of the way, you never know what happened to it. I do believe they sent you back your coins, but I do understand the thoughts you must be having....
<< <i>I was under the impression that NGC handed out 70's like candy.
Bought 50 from the Slaughter House, narrowed it down to 10 gems.
These things are flawless, WTF. So do I resubmit and play the fee game?
Why don't TPG's come out and say it, the more you spend on fee's, the better the grades.
I called NGC today and asked for the grades. Eight 69's and two 68's. The only thing worse than the grades would be
milk spotted ASE's
Took a real butt fu##ing on that deal.
The pic below was one of them, flawless.
>>
Lemme' get this straight: you buy ASEs with the intention of getting gimme' grades since you seem to think that NGC hands out MS/PF 70s "like candy". You paid 20 bucks (give or take) for the coins, paid approximately that in TPG grading/shipping fees for each of them, and are thinking about paying PCGS club fees AND re-submittal fees for the same bullion coins that are already graded?! you're the kinda' guy TPGs love to see!

Beside the weak strike did you check the edges (Not shown in photo's)
I sent 100 to PCGS and got 13 MS70's, at least 30 were strong candidates for 70.

Actually, looks like a photo of the coin in the mint capsule prior to sending to NGC
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Ah, that makes sense, I just noticed the clear case and NGC uses that white rubber housing.

The coin looks great to me.

I don't own an 8X, 7X is the largest I have.
Do you really need more than a 5X, for an ASE?
If there is a ding on an ASE, my naked eye can spot it. >>
well I don't have a 5x so I figure if I see something, it's there.

Thanks doggy, Na I'm not going to resubmit. I'm better off purchasing one in a 70 holder, with a return policy.
To much work, to little reward.
