Pretty 1949-S Franklin - Will it crossover? UPDATE: it crossed
A fellow from the local coin club sent this in for XO, will it cross at MS66?

all I see are marks all over the face.
at first I was going to grade it an ms64.

The marks are very unobtrusive in hand w/o magnification. I think it has a 50/50 shot at X/O.

<< <i>you guys are kidding right?

What looks like marks are splotchy toning.

I'm thinking it's actually .22 MB.
800X is really a large image for many to view.
Small marks look like more than they are.
To me it looks much better at 600X.
Just my opinion.

<< <i>Terrific coin... I don't know if it will cross, but this coin speaks for itself and the plastic should be of secondary interest >>

<< <i>PCGS can be very forgiving of marks on mint set coins w/good luster and eye appeal.

<< <i>Congrats, I really like that coin. Another burst in the "PCGS" grades Frankies much tougher "bubble". >>
What burst? It crossed. The coin deserved the grade it got, right?
Did people say it was over graded in the NGC holder? If not, then what bubble bursting?

As usual you are clueless. I don't know why I take the time to explain it to you but I will. Every time the topic comes up NGC vs PCGS grading of Franklins, the koolaid drinkers clamor on and on how PCGS grades one grade tougher. Obviously the submitter has a good eye and doesn't buy into that. That is all, simple enough for you? Now go stink on someone else, your opinions and statements are meaningless to me.
<< <i>By buddy george says it crossed @ MS66. In fact he got 8/10 Frankies crossed. I taught him well!
Wonderful. It deserved to.

I knew what you were moaning about but ALL you do is whine and b*tch. Is THAT simple enough for you?
Who CARES about so-called "koolaid drinkers"? You are a moron for even caring. Obviously, you don't add much to a conversation so you feel you need to be "funny" and "sarcastic" about it.
Clear enough for you?
Would that be o.k by you botchieman ?
