Interesting Reverse on this Morgan Dollar

Can't blame the guy for trying

Why don't they match the obv & reverse dies when they make fakes? Are they that dopey?

Oh, and he accepts moneybookers too!!!!!!!!

    Looks like they started out with an 1879-S and made a false obverse die and altered it to 1878. Note the second 8.
    Seems to be "antiqued" a little better than the typical Chinese fake.

    Hijacked account. eBay account name is Hispanic. Moneybookers name is Chinese.
    Account opened in 2003, only two feedback. That's the type of account these guys go for... one that no one will notice has been hijacked.
    Ships from "oversees" is also an indicator of fraud going on, not just that the coin is impossible.

    I tend to agree. Not only is the 2nd 8 malformed, but the obverse is a III2 obverse, used only on the 1878 Rev. of '79 VAMs 230-232, but all coins of 1879.
