before 1964 are all full silver there are no exceptions for certain years?
Silver coins are pretty easy to distinguish form clad coins. Look at the coin's edge. If it looks totaly silver its probably a silver coin if you can see a copper ring in the middle of the edge its probably clad. They also sound different when dropped on a hard surface.

Not nickels except a very few 42-45 war nickels. Only Dimes quarters, and half dollars. 1964 and earlier
Well, its silver. You cant go wrong there. Its definately worth more than face value.

Dont worry about those. You will never find them in circulation. They were coins minted in the 1800's.

Click either of the links in my sigline to find out about half dimes. Of note, the bust half dimes are only 89% silver. The seated half dimes are 90% silver.

Coin Values
Its a 1950 dime with no mint mark

No mint mark means it was made at the Philladelphia mint. Can't say how much it's worth with out seeing it's condition. Amount of circulation or lack there or, degree of contact marks and strike will all affect it's value. It's minimum value will be intrinsic, based on it's silver content which is usually about nine times face value for 90% silver.
<< <i>so its worth at least 90cents being a 1950 dime? >>
