To Whom It May Concern:

It has come to our attention that you are illegally using the Beckett Media trademarked logo on the PSA message boards, and I will have to ask you to remove the image from your signature as soon as possible.

Becketts sales are so slow on grading cards to that they surf the net looking for peole using their image.

I was reading their new issue outload to my son and a Beckett rep was at my door for "reproducing/distributing" their content without consent.

Whats worse is nexy year I hear for every BGS slabbed card you sell you have to pay them .05%

Sorry, I had to do it Matt- rules are rules. Also, I just contacted Dustin Hoffman's lawyers, and he, along with Universal Studios, K-Mart, People's Court, and Mott's, would like you to change your new sig line.

I doubt it. I have used that sig off and on for about a year. I was on the boards late last night and so was a "huge" bgs supporter. We posted to the same thread. Its been a while since I have seen him.

The very next day I get an email from Beckett.

It's not a plan.

Anyone using the logo in their sig lines needs to remove it and keep it off the forums. Those who choose not to remove it will force me to remove it and their account.

It is trademarked and they do have a right to ask that it not be used.

Beckett did finally change their description of the 1980 Charlotte minor league set from "W3TV" to WBTV. When I did my article with them they disregarded that I called the set WBTV and still called it W3TV in the article, which was a little frustrating. When I mentioned it, I was told that it was the W3TV Charlotte O's set and not WBTV, despite plenty of evidence to prove they were wrong. They have an article with Cal Ripken, Jr., in the latest issue where he comments on his first card that was part of the "WBTV" set.

I wonder if the author thought of me when Cal said it was the WBTV set...

So Beckett doesn't have anything else to do but to get someone to look at message boards in the search of people who are using their logo. Wow, I don't think I'll ever let them grade any of my cards ever again. Looks like I may become a SGC/PSA only person. That has to be the weakest thing I've heard in quite a while. They're wasting money and man power doing crap like this. Maybe that's why their online price guides cost so much. Boy better tell the PSA board member that uses the SGC logo about this before SGC comes after 'em. OMG, Topps or Roger Staubach will probably come after me! Anyway, if they're gonna jack with someone couldn't they have found a jerk to mess with? No, they had to go after one of the good guys.
