Hey, what would cause a coin to do this? It's pretty nasty!
Anyone care to guess? What would be the cause of all these light golden looking spots on this piece?

I've gotten what I believe to be the true answer from the resident Proof expert however if others can learn something too, then it's a worthwhile post.
Apparenntly this was submitted in bulk judging from the cert# beginning with the #7 ... but it's the color that throws me. These, I am told, are Milk Spots but are light Tan or Nicotine Brown/ Gold in color.
I REALLY have no clue what would have "caused" them other than the answer being posted in a similar thread.
I have NO reason NOT to believe him.

That's correct. Once milk spots form, they are permanent.

Actually, No. I just recently started dabbling with Proof coins and this is the first time I see this. Hard to describe.
No, can't say that I have, particularly IN a PCGS holder that appears to be somewhat new.
