So, do you think this will go CAMEO in a PCGS holder

It's presently holdered in another service's slab. I've been dabbling with more Proof coinage the last couple months than ever before. What's your opinion. It presently has a Cameo designation. Granted, my pix are not the greatest but I think they're good enough for you to make that call. What do you tgink? Will this go CAMEO with PCGS ?

Thanx & feel free to express your reasonning Pro or Con.

Thanx! That's the conclusion I expected because I didn't take such great pix.

I have some/ same type, in PCGS holders that have the CAMEO designation and honestly, it appears to be a toss-up, hinging on any # of factors.

With ALL looking pretty darned even it's difficult to try to come to conclusions beforehand.

Some that are CAMEO look exactly like the ones that did not obtain the attribution and vice cersa.

Tough call in person but I think it's worth the shot.image

    No. Reverse kills it.

Thanx Brian. See the above. About what I thought as I posted because I failed to do the Reverse "Justice" when taking the pic.

    Appreciate the evaluations. image

Even if it did go cameo, it would be a waste of money. These bring very little as cameo, even in PCGS holders.

No it won't, and it's not really worth trying it at PCGS unless it has a good shot at 69DCAM

I was going to say that and you beat me to it!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Well, enough experienced collectors ahve opined and I appreciate each and every one of you that did. I'll take your words for it however I have no doubt it would go 69 as there isn't a mark anywhere on this piece however while we are talking about Proof coinage can any of you even begin to tell me what caused this?

Other than for all these golden looking spots being all over it the piece is otherwise pristine (surface-wise) and the coin I've asked you all to give opinions on is as nice as any Pf 69 I've ever seen.

Thanks. This is strange and somewhat disheartening but not a big deal. image

Milk spots, and I'll guarantee they weren't on the coin when it was graded. It's a common problem with late 50's and early 60's proofs.

I'd say it won't CAM either.

Well, it's pretty much a clean sweep then and considering all the experienced pairs of eyes that have stated their opinions, I must say, I'd have to agree however since I am the one looking right at it, ultimately the decision is left to me.

As such, I think I'll do some more research and comparisons. Thanx for all the opinions. I DO appreciate them all.

Not like it's a MAJOR DEAL or anything.image
