1995w Silver Eagle Photo

I had a couple requests to shoot this. I'm not 100% happy with it. It's not a pristine coin at least when photographed. In hand it's real pretty but when you shoot it you see a ton of silver "dots" or frosting or whatever. If somebody wants to help me with the proper term feel free to jump in.

And there's a carbon spot on liberty's lapel.

Still. It's an awesome coin.

Your images are amazing John! image Is that tiny milk spots on the reverse to the left of the left of the wing tip?

It is kind of crappy, you should send it to me so I can properly dispose of it on American soil.

57loaded. I did take some of those silver frost dots out in Photoshop. I have some issues with cleaning up the images too much. I'm reasonably certain that I'll keep the 95 W until I die, so photoshopping it is not too big a deal, but if I sold coins I'd just shoot it and what it is is what it is. Photoshopping a coin that's for sale or might be for sale would be wrong.

I've been having a blast with the camera the last day or two.

    Rick,

All clear on the typhoon. I live in company grade officer housing on one of the Marine bases. The houses are concrete with storm windows. A million years old but stout. Trees are down all over the place but mostly just a lot of branches all over the place.

One of the neighbors left one of those heavy steel trash cans out and it came flying and hit our house. BANG. Scared the heck out of me.

Power, water, cable, internet problems all over except for my neighborhood it seems. Everything here is underground wiring.

The storm was INTENSE and slow moving. The heavy wind started around 2 AM Thursday night (at least that's when I woke up) and continued until about 6 or 8 pm Friday night. We got a full rotation or two out of the storm because it was moving too slow.

It was all good here in the house but Mother Nature does not fail to impress me with her extreme power. Never seen wind like that for that long. Amazing.
