<< <i>So, is PCGS gonna guarantee these 70s even with the milkspotting problem? >>

If they grade them, they guarantee them. Has there been a milk spotting problem on the W mint coins, though?

My slabbed '06-W had milk spots. My raw ones in the OMP don't. Go figure.

  • The Pop Reports are not always accurate.

How many 2005 Silver Eagles do they show
    that are MS69 20th Anniversary?

I have some, why aren't they in the Pop Report?

    Sam...
  • I thought the 20th Anniversary ones were 2006 not 2005.

While the pop reports might not be 100% accurate they should be close (and as Ron said they are updated weekly) since some of us pay money to have access to this information I trust that it is accurate.

    89990 2006-W $1 Eagle-20th Anniversary MS 67-5 68-611 69-9,180 70-0 total-9,796
I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while!

Thats actually a very good question. As a matter of fact, my 20th Anniversary SAE even shows Invalid PCGS Number!
    In Red No less!

image The Invalid PCGS Number! showed because ole smarty pants here was entering a cert number instead of a coin number! DUH!

But, after I realized my goof, I figured out why they don;t show in the pop reports. The 2005 20th Anniversary American Eagle Program Slabs are labels only. The coin number, 89975 and the cert number, only reference a 2005 First Strike Silver Eagle.

For whatever reason, First Strike Coins do not get a coin number on their slabs. At least none of mine do.

  • PCGS used a special insert for the 2005 ASE as an option instead of the blue insert for an additional $10. The special insert said '20th Aniversary American Eagle Program' and has a flag like the First Strike insert. The reason it is not reported seperatly in the population reports is because it's the same coin as the 2005 bullion ASE with a special insert, nothing special or different at all about the coin as all the 2005 ASE's were eligible for the '20th Anniversary American Eagle Program' insert if it was requested.

I look forward to getting mine. Got love them PCGS MS 70's and FS to boot. Even if there could be thousands, it still a good price for $200.

The coin endzone illustrated is a legitimate PCGS coin. Tulving has always been in good standing as a PCGS Dealer and has never been accused of making or participating in

the production of a counterfeit PCGS holder. >>

I'll ship them out to some board members tomorrow who bought coins from me yesterday and by Monday or Tuesday, they can post a picture of the coin they received.

It appears none of the coins I am shipping out tomorrow are presently in the cert verification data base. But, not too surprising as many coins I get take a day or two to get into the system I have found.

looks like that 70 was not part of an anniversary set, even though it was sent in with the companion coins
  • 19Lyds19Lyds Posts: 26,497 ✭✭✭✭
To get the Anniversary Set designation, the coin would have to have been submitted in a sealed shipping container from the mint.

You'd think PCGS would cut some slack in this area since its obvious that 5 sets were submitted but I guess not!

For right now, the only way to see the MS70 graded coins is by viewing the Set Registry pages for specific sets.

    This Set shows:

    150446 2007-W First Strike $1 MS69 1890 3 (where the 3 = coins graded higher than MS69)
