What date did the Eliasberg collection goto?

If it was after 1986, did it include Gold/Silver Eagles.

Was just curious if he considered them coins, if he was still around in 86.

Thanks

    Eliasberg gold was 1982.

    The rest was 1996-7.

If it went to 1996-7, did his collection include the silver eagles from 86 on.

May seem like a rediculous questionimage, I'm just trying to figure out if HE would have considered them coins or bullion.

    Louis Eliasberg died in 1976.

I believe RYK was speaking of the years when the auctions of the Eliasberg collection occurred (1982 and 1996/1997), not the last date in the collections. I just checked my catalog for the 1997 sale of his quarters and half dollars. Both collections extended (only) through 1976, which was also the year Eliasberg passed away. Clearly his survivors could have easily added the coins necessary to keep the collection up-to-date, but it seems as if they decided not to do so.
