This coin is on the BST now. Implication from the description is that toning is NT, from a dansco:
"In the top five finest toned American Silver Eagles I've seen or heard of! Purchased raw from a top notch toned DANSCO type set this one recently graded out at MS68. Simply a breathtaking coin with a dozen various colors including a raw shade of turquoise. Outstanding!"
I don't collect SAEs, and am not an expert, but I find this to be a misleading auction. Am I missing anything?

Reverse of the bst coin is blast white.

How long does something like that take to happen? They look real nice.
Yeah, thats a milk spot.
<< <i>Another example of Dansco toning. The coin was blast white, then a few years later, ringed toned ASE.
Yeah, thats a milk spot.

Morgan, mine look identical to your's...

that looks like the Dansco toning that I have seen on some of my own coins.
you will do to make a buck.
if you enjoy fleecing people of their money more power to you.
i could not sleep at night.
Actually I wasn't really wondering, maybe more giving Braddick the benefit of a doubt.
Morgansforever,
That's what 90 % of my ASE's also look like after a year or two in the Dansco...
I only pull the album out of the SDB once a year to add the newer issues.
None of the ASE's look like that wildly toned one on Ebay.

Don,
It wasn't toned in or from a DANSCO album... it came from a toned set of coins housed in a DANSCO album.
I think the colors are too wild for anything outside of PCI so PCGS or NGC were not attempted.
It's pretty neon in person and with a .99c start and no reserve (with no shilling) and a full return privilege I still doubt I'll see this one returned.

I've bought DOZENS and DOZENS of albums of SAE's and rim toning is all I've seen.

<< <i>Nope, not with only one side toning like that. Looks fake, fake... >>
