removal request scam?????

I just got hit with 6 removal requests. 99% of the time when I get these, it is my fault for forgetting to remove them after sale. The other 1% is a simple typo on the submitters end. This one looks flagrant. All of the 6 are still in my registry. And my hats off to BJ and her crew, they are responding quickly to the problem. What concerns me is how did this person know the cert #'s to my coins. Did someone hack their way into having visibility to my account????? Any of you ever experience this?

    Very strange. I haven't heard of this yet, maybe it's a scam, maybe someone else was scammed and thought they bought those coins and are now trying to add them to their registry and the scammer is long gone by now.

    Did the six coins they requsted removal happen to come from a common source, if so the scammer might have gotten the numbers and/or images from that source. If they came from different sources, who knows, maybe you were hacked.

    No, most of these coins have been in my registry for at least one year. That is why I was somewhat concerned. The cool thing is PCGS took quick action. These coins will not be removed from my registry. My concern is simply that there should have been no way this person could spot 6 of my coins cert #'s without seeing my registry as I do logged in. HMMMMMM......the only thing about getting older, is the youngsters are getting smarter.

    Some weirdo may just have requested tons of random cer #s. Yours could be just six out of sixty thousand.

    I just did a closer check. 4 of the coins I have listed on ebay, so those numbers could have been pulled from the picks. The other 2 coins have been tucked in my collection for quite a while. I bought them in a private sale. Perhaps they were pictured in an old catalog before that. Sounds like someone is trying to grab as many numbers as they can, hoping to bolster their registry standing before the awards deadline later this week.

    I doubt if that is the reason - - all the coins are Morgans, and we all know who has the registry awards sewn up in the Morgan categories

    Geez....I did not even think of that. Yep, they are all Morgans, and you are right. It would be a waste of time for someone to try and win a Morgan category.
