Worth visiting - I don't know. Every attempt to visit a coin store while on vacation was nixed by the wife. Best bet is to use the Yellow Pages once you get there and turn it into an adventure if a wife and kids are involved.

The last time I was there I found a small coin shop a few blocks in from the Pavillion area. Not much in the way of selection, didn't end up buying anything. Me and MrsSpud did have fun winning a few coins in the main arcade in the Pavilion area though. One of them was a nice semi-key V nickel! Most of the coins were junk silver and circ common dates, but if you look closely you might get lucky and find something of value like we did. I was just in the area, called Myrtle Beach Coins, was unable to get in touch with them, left a message and didn't hear back. I think that they may be a business run out of the house and didn't want to advertise where they lived. I know, not much help, but there isn't too much in the area. You may try and give them a call, they are in the phone book as above.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. I think I will PM JDimmick this week. I need to figure out what days i will be free first. Oh and I think I will check out the Myrtle Beach Arcade.

I've visited Worldwide Coin Shop a few times during visits to Myrtle Beach. This shop is a few blocks from the Pavilion, so Mr. Spud or others may have visited it, too. At one time, the owner had four mag wheels with tires displayed in the front window; the shop also seems to feature the usual set of local characters hanging around inside.

Not a huge selection, at least on display, and nothing that I could find that was conservatively graded or underpriced. Still, I couldn't resist the temptation and have purchased some inexpensive items there.
