Depends. I go completely inactive for a month or two, then jump back in. This month has been the latter example and might end up being a $1K month for me, which is pretty rare.
It really varies. On a good month if I find a nice few large cents, as much as $500. On average, I'd say about $100/month. As I get better educated/connected in coins, the less I seem to spend on eBay.

I've been out of commission while waiting for our previous residence to sell. Since we should be closing in 9 days, I should be at least as active as I was before that event occurred. On average it was maybe $500 a month but it varied greatly. Some months nothing, other months well over a grand.
The more that I'm being introduce to alternatives to E-bay, the more that I like it! As someone said recently on this forum.."too many wannabes on E-Bay!"

I'd love for there to be more alternatives, too. The problem is, availability of funds is sometimes an issue, and I don't want to be caught in a situation where I finally convince a dealer to look for certain types of coins with a certain look, only to have that point in time be a money-constrained time. If I could more consistently buy the coins whenever they became available, I'd not worry about being such a flake and burning bridges.
As a result, I usually have to either luck out and find them from dealer inventory (unlikely because I doubt much of the stuff I'm looking for even makes it past existing client want lists, and if not they sell within minutes of posting) or through auction, which means Mars money for anything relatively original and with great eye appeal.
For me, for this calendar year to date, it's $871.50/month. The trick is making sure that enough of the expense goes toward buying rips that can then be resold to fund the rest. Not counting a $600 NGC bill that I haven't received yet, my total net coin-related expenses for the year to date are $7.42. I was hoping to be net-positive for the year, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
My largest single purchase this year was $458.66. My smallest was $2.10 (shipping included for both).

In the last several months... 0$... I've found better outlets than the $h!t on eBay. I think the last Large Cent I bought on eBay was well over a year ago... an acceptable 1836 in VF for around $60.

It depends on what coins are out there and how much they sell for, as well as availability of funds. Some months, almost nothing, other months, a lot. It seems sometimes there are a lot of cool coins available, other times, not many.

Sometimes ebay does offer some interesting coins and it just depends on how much I decide to spend.
Recently, I have stayed away from most ebay auctions so I would say about $0/month right now for about the last 6 months.
I used to spend about 50-100 dollars per month on ebay but I haven't purchased anything on ebay for months, maybe even a year, I'm not sure. I was getting sniped so frequently that I just quit. Now I find it much more fun in purchasing coins from dealers locally.
On months that I sell coins and have a PayPal balance, I spend the balance. Usually a couple hundred. But, last month I spent my balance AND $250 from my attached checking account. Waiting for a set of Unc/Proof Franklin Commemoratives to sell for more spending cash for Christmas. My mom and dad like stamps, so I have to get them some of those.

I have only ever bought I coin on ebay...About 2 years ago I paid $8 for a raw 1950-D Jefferson nickel that was originally in a littleton sleeve...it certified MS 66 Full Steps!
I spend my money mostly on coins on Ebay. I would say about 9-11K a month on coins. Like to go to local shows and local dealers as much as possible though.
Maybe a few hundred bucks if I see stuff I like and I have the extra cash handy.
Just spent $27 after buying nothing on eBay since January (though I did drop a few Texas pennies at Parsippany and WESPNEX a couple months back -- I prefer to see what I'm buying when I get the opportunity).

This was an old thread that was resurrected, for some reason. The person on ebay, in the OP, probably had a much bigger total back then.

I have probably purchased 2 coins on ebay in the last 5 years. I guess it's going to take me a while to get my rating up there huh?

Honestly, I probably average less than $20/month since I joined eBay 9 years ago.
