Real Fine Point and Click Digital Cam for Coin Photos

I've found the (almost) perfect little coin camera and PROVED that you can get a great shot from a point and click. The three divots are the plastic case it's in.

Just picked up a Canon G7 and man oh man is this a fine shooter. You've also got to factor in that I have a Nikon D200 and a Leica M8 when I make that claim.

Chinese Panda I just shot. It's got a minor brownish hue to it because the background was a light, bright wood but I coulda beat that with a custom white balance easy enough. Or desaturated a bit.

Check out the sharpness of this Canon G7. WOW! Run, don't walk to get one.

    Madmonk,

The camera goes about $450 or so but in Japan with the great Yen rate we've had I got mine for around $400 with a CF card.
