Tim, if you want PCGS to attribute this variety on a grading submission (as apposed to a variety review to PCGS graded coins) do you have to send the coins in on an "Mint Error" submission or can i just use those coin numbers on a regular submission and not have to pay any extra fees? That probably sounds real confusing.

    Joe,

You have to pay the $15 extra under the "Variety Attrubution". But that is better then the $40 for the "Mint Error" Program.

    Joe,

I believe you can use the PCGS number 86707 for the 1964(D) DDO, number 96707 for the 1964(D) TDO and number 96723 for the 1974(D) DDO and not pay the "variety Attribution" fee but the coin label might not have the FS number on it.

    Tim

PS: It would be a lot better if PCGS would just publish a list of all coin numbers within the series, varieties included.image

THANKS for the info Tim. Too bad PCGS won't recognize in the sets what they DO recognize in their attribution service and guide. maybe someday.......................... Ray

Is there a web site with pictures that show the different varieties or do I have to by the cherrypickers guide? I have no idea what to look for on most of those varieties.
