Yes, Greenwich Civic Center, just over the NY border..... helps dealers because of the tax rules on sale of coins!

    Jon,
This really sounds great. If you get some national dealers and PCGS reps there, you will have a successful show. One point of concern. The White Plains shows always have a "crowd" there for the opening. Giving away 100 silver dollars and 100 Red Books could cause some problems with probably a few hundred people there well before the doors open. Just a thought.

Oh baby! Right in my backyard!! I will definitely be attending this one. Who else is definitely going? Maybe we can have a PCGS board member meeting. I will bring the tea and cookies. image

It sounds like an interesting idea, Jon. I do not see any conflicts with other shows, with the exception of PAN in Monroeville, PA. I would rather it be a three day show, but it could grow into that. I may take a table.

Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

    RareBronzeCollector:

The venue is right next to the train line, so check out where the MetroNorth/New Haven Line stations are and check the timetables from Grand Central on a Saturday or Sunday.

Check out the Southern Gold Society

  • Nickel & DaveG....

Thanks, I'll check it out....... Convenient enough if it's near the station.......

Marvelous location, timing and approach to getting out the numbers for the show.

Have you approached the major grading services for their participation in the show?

Try to keep the show AFTER October 17th of each year!

Is the TPG company one that is actually respected, or one that believes their place in the heirarchy of TPG respectability is much higher than they actually are?

Come to think of it, I think I already know which company it is.

We have dealer list up, however names added only after we receive contracts back..... the information to dealers is going out over the next month...so it will be a month or so til you have a good solid list ..... as far as I can tell, the show will have a really great mix of dealers..... local, regional, national.....

Speaking of timing and approach , that is a nice golf course across the tracks. Sand traps seem to protect every green. Can you say WEDGIT ?

I'm just bumping the thread as a public service announcement image

I tend to go to Asia during this time of year, but I am trying to make sure The Man™ works around this show schedule. I need to also check the website to see which dealers have signed up already.

I think that Innis Arden is private, but there are lots of great courses in the area. Maybe board member gyocomgd can get us a tee time at Winged Foot. image

This is UNBELIEVABLE. I literally just got an email from The Man™ telling me to save the dates of October 22nd through the 26th to go to Beijing. I need to quickly check out the flights, but my meeting will end at 1 PM on Friday, and if I get a night flight, I think I get back to NY at approximately Friday evening with the time and date change (hopefully I am calculating this correctly). So maybe I can swing getting to the show on Saturday or early on Sunday. I have the worst luck.
