What do you think he's going to say? He sold the coin. On consignment most likely, but he sold it.

You think that one went nuts, wait until he gets the NGC PF69 UCam one redesignated PF69 AH UCam and sells that one (if the owner decides to sell it).

That's about the average price for an NGC PR68UCAM. If a PCGS PR68DCAM were to come to market, it would bring about $10K.

Check out the following auction and compare it to the PR68UCAM auction.

1964 NGC PF69CAM CAMEO ACCENTED HAIR PROOF KENNEDY: $450

    eBay Link

Yet the NGC PR68 UCAM got the huge bucks!!!! $3650

Yes, it does. The coin is magnitudes more difficult in DCAM/UCAM than it is in cameo.

    Is it a fair price?

If it's a good picture, the item is described accurately and people choose to bid that, sure it's fair. It means at least two bidders would have paid at least that much for it.

Any price that a knowledgeable bidder offers for merchandise which is accurately and completely described is fair. Just because I don't personally understand paying $3600+ for a Kennedy doesn't mean it isn't.

for now, and when the coin market goes south, the greater fool theory will kick in.
