Nope. The lower left serif of the "I" in "LIBERTY" should be missing.

Thanks for posting a pic, couldn't get it to show up.

That left serif on the I doesn't look full to me, kind of in between. What about the hair above the ear? Is it just a good strike?

Thanks grabba, I already checked it against that, but can't tell by comparing.

Looks accented to me...the hair appears to have the 'V' (2 lines that form a whispy 'V' shape) above the ear.

Here's Russ's photo (hope you don't mind, Russ) of a regular 'ol 1964 proof next to yours. Notice how the hair looks identical.

Check the reverse diagnostics against yours.

Thanks everyone for your help. I'll agree that it is not an AH based on the flat spot above the ear.

Grabba, I don't own this coin so don't have access to the reverse. But was considering buying it if it was an AH.

From that photo I'd say no based on other diagnostics rather than the hair. But not conclusively. --Jerry

not sure how many catch it but his sideburn is a strong diagnostic i look for.on a accented hair it's like he's got a hair cut but on a non-accented hair it's ruff like 3 strands stick-out right before his ear (anyone else catch that too? )

The hair itself is the easiest tell, but if for whatever reason one cannot do it that way there are other differences between the AH Kennedy and the regular Kennedy. As someone already mentioned, the accented hair will have a truncated serif in the I of Liberty. If you only have access to the reverse of the coin, there is a method of checking there too--on the reverse of the coin, the accented hair will have a broken ray right under the letter U in UNUM, where the two stars are aligned. The regular kennedy will have a solid ray. Also, the accented hair has a straight G in the engravers initials "FG", while the regular Kennedy has a flared G.
