<< <i>Guys, stop by Pat Vetter's table and say hello. I'll be there Fri/Sat helping out. Always enjoy meeting board members.

O well it was a good birthday. I went to a morning meeting at work, then hurried off to the coin show. Now like I said I sell carpet and I had an appointment with a previous customer at 10 am. Well that is when the show started, so I called her and let her know I was really backed up and it will be a few hours (so I could shop) before I could get to her. Then she spoke beautiful music to my ears. "No hurry, I will be home all day!"
That was the wrong thing to say to a coin junky.
Now I went with no cash big mistake, but I did find a dealer to take 4 PCGS error washingtons off my hands for $400 which was a $30 loss for what I had in them, O well. These things are like lead weights, so dump and buy something new.
So I strolled thru the bourse for about 4 hours and picked up a few things. 1905 MS64 Toned Indian head cent. 1930 AU 58 Anacs Standing Liberty Quarter. 1922 NGC MS64 Peace Dollar with some nice luster. 1972 proof nickel, 2000s proof cent, and a 81-s proof toned quarter. These will all be finding a home in my Dansco.
I held and nearly jumped on a nice 1804 1/2 cent, but with a few others opinions they thought it may be recolored.
I found Tom Reynolds copper table WOW is all I can say. Lots I wanted, but my pockets were not that deep.
I may be back today or Sunday for a nice 1864 ms 64 2 cent, a 1904 Liberty Nickel NGC MS63 ($90) is that too much?
O well I met Kranky (Great guy) not sure where he got that Nickname, it must involve a woman LOL Shortgapbob
RichieURich who had a bunch of great coins just out of my current league and a few other CU users.
So I did make my 10 o"clock appt at 3:30 and made a nice sale, then went to dinner with wife and kids, got a GPS for my car (Bday gift) and then went out to play cards that evening and WON all the money back that I spent earlier at the coin show.
It was a great birthday and I hope I have more like that. Usually birthdays kinda suck, but this one was my favorite.
The show was busy but not too busy, I suspect Saturday will be the big day.
