One Ugly 1920 Lincoln Cent...Mystery Damage

Hello to everyone as I am fairly new here. Learning alot thanks to all. I came across this 1920 Lincoln cent in pocket change awhile back and would not have noticed it as fast if it were not for the damage. No damage to the reverse just a cut on the obverse below the date. Just wanted to see if some trained eyes could help on this one. Thanks in advance........
