My first Proof coin (Pictures)

At the Sarasota Coin Show yesterday I saw more activity at the "trunk" of dollar coins than anywhere... Guys lined up in seats filling up paper bags like crazy! Glanced in a few, mostly Lincoln's and worn out Buffalos... then this one caught my eye (oooh, it's shiny).
I bought it because it looked so FAKE I just couldn't pass it up! I swear, in hand it looks like it's been plated with chrome!!

Ahh, proof Jefferson nickels! Proof Jeffs were the first series I completed.

I couldn't get the greatest detail shot with all the blinding light from the shine - but in hand it looks like the "S" mintmark is die-chip filled, is this a common occurence on proofs?
