Hard to tell for sure from a pic, but my initial response is..."not in a thousand years" Luster is generally the inhibiting factor on a copper cent that is Brown. It has toned, and therefore is lackluster in many cases. On the large cent you are asking about, the luster does not look spectacular at all .
This is typical of NGC grading from a while back...fairly clean coins without superb luster getting into superb gem holders....

I was actually talking about the Lincoln in the post above the Large Cent. The Large Cent was posted while I was typing and I didn't notice until now. But, I appreciate the insight regardless.
