Can this forum do a complete run of cameo Morgan DMPLs (or where necessary PLs)?

I don't collect dmpls per se (only owning one, a black and white PCGS MS64DMPL 1883-CC), but they SURE are pretty. I was just wondering if the board members could do a complete run, including mintmarks, of black and white DMPLS, from 1878 to 1921. For some of the date/mintmarks where the population is miniscule/non-existent a nice black and white PL coin would work.

Anyone want to start us off with an 1878 8TF?

    Does every date/mm have at least one example of a DMPL?

    Do they have to be Pcgs graded,or can a raw coin be used?I have an 80s in Pcgs 65pl and a raw 81s that is 63/64dmpl and an 85-0 that is Anacs 64 dmpl cameo.I will gladly post any one of them when the spot is open.

    In answer to several questions:

    A) Let's try and keep it strictly to dmpl and where necessary pl... no proofs.

    B) Not every date/mm has a dmpl hence the need for pl.

    C) They do not have to be PCGS graded, I would be willing to accept NGC and would leave it open to the sense of the forum as to whether to accept ANACS and/or raw coins...

    So, what is the sense of this forum with regard to ANACS and/or raw coins?

    D) Let's do one other clarification, you can post an image of a coin that you owned at one point but no longer do (letting the current owner get first shot if you know he/she has an image of the coin).

    JB, That's a VERY sweet '80-S, but let's hold off on it until the 1880-S slot opens up.

    Well, I'll start. Here is the year 1878 (sorry, not all are dmpl, but it's the best I got). Anyone have better grades or dmpls, feel free to post.

    This could turn out to be a great thread!

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    As we see by the photos there are real DMPL's and what I call commercial DMPL's. I've had this conversation with multiple
    Morgan specialists and I've been told to stay away from the commercial ones. When the times comes to sell your coins the
    real DMPL's will attract strong money while the commercial ones will suffer. Granted some dates just don't have real good examples
    of what I would call a real DMPL. The commercial DMPL's though they technically meet the criteria just don't have the strong reflective
    brilliant cameo fields.

    Awesome coin.....I sold one of those and keep the VAM-23 in PCGS MS64 PL.

    It was a tough call...and I'm still not sure which was better...63DMPL or 64PL. image

    It's always a tough call, one grade higher in pl or one grade lower in dmpl, for most dates the prices are close to equal. I'll post some 1879's tonight, unless someone beats me to it. I have lots of prooflikes, any dmpl's out there?

    Jack, this is same Vam-23 that you sold me about a year ago and it is awesome. Thanks again for letting me put it in my collection of PL Vams.

    Well, here is the last of 1880, we have the monster 1880s 67dmpl posted earlier above. This is an 1880 64pl in one of those "pseudo-doily" holders, it's fat like the doily but without the label.

    These are my PL 1880's. Look at the outstanding strike on the 80-S, the cheek is full and showing excellent detail.
