Beware of fake bank checks from CMA Legal (Cruz, Murray and Associates).

I am compiling a list of everyone who:

1. Has been contacted from a Roger Cruz or Murray.
2. Has gotten a bank check from CMA Legal
3. Has emails from anyone at CMA legal (cmalegal@yahoo.com)
4. Has shipped anything to:

264 South La Cienega Blvd. #621
Beverly Hills, CA 90211

Jose Pena of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department has requested a list of the individuals contacted either directly or indirectly by this individual. You can contact Detective Pena at (562) 906-5405 by phone or by email at jjpena@lasd.org

There are also some threads on this topic in the US Coins forum and the Currency forum. This group has used a variety of names and mail drops so it is not enough to just verify that it isn't from this firm and address. In general, it best to be very careful of bank checks from this area.
