Attention Coin Sellers: Bogus Bank Check

I received payment for an online order today and the check was counterfeit.

The order came from Beverly Hills from a "law office".

Thanks for the heads up Tim and hope you aren't at too much of a loss if any at all. Any chance of posting a pic of the check ? ( erasing whatever is important to your case of course)

How long did it take the bank to discover that it was fake ?

What was the approximate value? Just curious as I have not received a bad check in several years of doing e-bay. Most of my items have been below the $50 mark though.

We also recieved a check from this firm. We are doing research on it right now. We didn't get burned but came darn close. If I find out beyond a reasonable doubt that these checks are bogus (I'm going to the bank now) I will post information related to this individual/individuals.

My check was for $1,055. At least two other firms have received checks from this bozo.

I would rather not post pics or further information at this time (but I am happy to PM). We may involve the authorities.
