GOES back to EBAY's slowing $$$ growth for listings....Fees on top of increased fees will the slay the milk cow
  • They used to have free listing days. I shouldn't complain however, 20 cents is still great! (I don't mind paying the 3% or whatever if the item sells, I just don't like $5 for a listing and it doesn't even sell!).

does this include reserves, BIN, and high start prices?

hm, i always let the coin sell itself.
i have my own webhosting for pics.
insertion fees are the trivial part of the plan because i always
start my auctions at a dollar.

3% here, %3 there, and soon we are talking real money.

Those listing days are great, but stuff tends to get buried in the mass of listings!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Supposed to be a 20c listing fee regardless of the starting price or reserve. However, I set up a listing with a modest reserve and it wants to bill me for the reserve. In the queue now for the online help. No bargain if the listing is $2.20 instead of $0.20.

  • Barry,
Are they trying to keep auctiva.com from gaining ground?
  • BarryBarry Posts: 10,100 ✭✭✭
I never heard of auctiva.com. Looks interesting. What's the catch?

Jamie ... I thought your name was Barry.

eBay needs to give about a week or two notice on this kind of stuff. I HATE/Detest that they never give you any warning for the sales.

    IMHO

Got it. Listed 10 items and just chose starting bids that won't lose me much if they go at those prices. The lsiting is a pretty good bargain anyway. Glad to be done.

  • As far as I know there is no "catch" to auctiva.com. I've used it a couple of times and it works fine. There is no listing fee at all but you still have the final value fee from Ebay. I'm sure that in time they will start charging for this but why not use it while you can. The service is totally free.
