The pics were bad and the mention of water damage to holder gave me goose bumps. This AYPE medal arrived today and the medal turned out pristine.

    know nothing about medals, but i love the box ... the medal looks neat too, image congrats ... have you taken any pics yourself yet?

    64/65 IMHO. No signs of rub on the high spots, Indians arm on the conoe paddle . Homesteader's pinky finger at top of walking stick and the ladys ba ba breasts image

    Very cool. The eBay image does suggest wear on the high points too, though you can see that is just how the light works on those devices as we can see on Marty's image. Know much about the symbolism of the various devices? And what is that thing that dominates the center of the (presumed) reverse?

    Will have to research the symbolism of the various devices. The "thing on the back is for engraveing the name of the award winner. Both madmarty's and mine were not named. image
