Grading Question?

Do polishing lines (by mint) such as the ones on the two lincolns below result in lower grades?

They *shouldn't* but you never know....

However, I don't see that these are worth the submission fees.

Die polish should not affect the grade.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • The 1960-D small date is very common to have these. If all other aspects are in order I do not feel it pervents ms66
But can not see a Lincoln with heavy polish lines going MS67. They In my opinion take away from the eye appeal
of a coin. And with so few making this grade, a ms67 Lincoln would need to stand out in this way.
