Not sure which one you're looking for....the coin in the photo is a doubled die, but I didn't find it in the CPG...

to further explain....lets try a bad analogy...

imagine we are not stamping/striking out coins, but instead we are stamping (and or) striking "BIRTHDAY CAKES"!

AS the upper die is releasing from the obverse of the coin it moves south west and in effect it "smears" the date on the cake to the south west...
causing a build up of icing on the southwest edges of the dies....and the icing is deosited on the southwest of each number in the date.

    does that confuse you?...i'm hungry....be back in a while.image

This is why I think it's a DDO:

The secondary image on strike doubling is flat. The secondary on the coin pictured isn't. Compare the coin in the photo with FS-024, FS-025, or FS-025.5. It's not the same coin, but the doubling is very similar in appearance....

Looks like a DDO to me because...........its has a notch in the tail of the nine. Die one is very pronounced with doubling on the 9 which I am not seeing here. And there are a lot of 1960 D DDO dies, so I could not tell you which one. But Chuck can.

Buy at your own risk.... does not look like a doubled die to me. Way too irregular; almost like die breaks on the date. I do not see any notching; just some irregular lumps.

No, just ejection or machine doubling.
