If I start sending my coins to PCGS will I make more money?

I'm not a big time seller by any means...I usually sell on eBay maybe 5-25 coins per week, average values being $40-$150...Stuff like mid grade Bust Halves, And various keydates such as 31-S wheats, 14-D wheats, and the occasional higher grade Barber coin, among others, just to give you some idea. I may also have the occasional $500 coin such as a 16-D Mercury or some jazz like that. So far all my sales are raw coins unless I had bought it in a slab previously....My question is, would a small cat like me benefit from the expenses involved with submitting these kinda things to PCGS for grading? Do you think my profits would rise enough to be worth it all? As it stands right now, I usually just break even on my sales once covering all the auction costs and Paypal, so I am looking for a way to actually make a little something here and there..

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

stuff. However, the cost of economy grading with insurance and all is about $20
a coin is all. As a buyer I'd be looking at 14d's, 31's, 16d's, etc , with a worried mind
and not pay near what I'd be willing if it were slabbed. Take a look at what you
actually realized on a few coins then check what you would have gotted had they
been in a PCGS holder for the same coin/grade. That will tell you if it's worth it
and if you should do it. Search the "completed" auctions on Ebay for a quick refer-
ence. Easy to do and worth the effort. Good luck,

If you are selling overdescribed schlock, then no, slabbing won't increase your profits. A number of CW advertisers have already figured this out.
If you are selling nice material in the upper end of your price range, I think it will almost certainly broaden the bidding participation on your items which should lead to iincreased prices and more profit. But it all depends on what grades you get.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
<< <i>Some coins yes and other coins no. The only thing you can be sure of is that PCGS will make more money.
Maybe yes, maybe no, but PCGS will definitely make more money.
Only slab the higher valued items as fees on the cheaper stuff will only be a waste of time, IMO.
