Only two weeks ? Hmmm, something tells me you do not have a rose garden .

I have seen their auctions on Ebay for years. I have also had many of my coin shipments sent and recieved delayed up to two weeks or more by the post office. Two weeks isn't too much of a stretch. I would be patient for a few more days at least.
<< <i>... they made me pay with a money order and claim to have sent my coin via insured USPS two weeks ago. However, I still have received no coin. From now on it is paypal only for me ... period. >>
Ask for a tracking number. If they hem and haw instead of providing it, then I would worry.
<< <i>They state that the shipping includes insurance, so you should be covered. Tell(ask) them to refund and file the insurance you paid for. >>
That's what I would do, I had a coin get lost (I was the seller). Waited 30 days and refunded the buyers money and filed the claim with the PO. If they never shipped the coin, well then you are screwed.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
maybe you need to stop using ebay altogether based on your experiences? it is like you are looking for something to good to be true and get caught into these situations...

"Too good to be true?" Ummm ... no, I just want to receive what I paid for. And, if it isn't delivered, I want my money back after a reasonable period of time. That is all ... it still may happen. I have happily agreed to two more weeks before we discuss the issue again. I am sending positive vibes into the ether. We are allowed to do that here ... after all, it is California
and now they won't refund- as some folks told me in my thread the other day- I should just chill wait for the coin to show up.
NOT!! if you have waited this long and have transpired talks regarding this- I (IMO) would no longer 'ask' for the refund- but demand it or send proof that coin was actually shipped.
Thew world is getting full of thieves these days - I truly hate hearing this.
MH2 ... I agree that it is bad customer service. However, several people here have vouched for the guy so I will cut him a little slack. Two more weeks is negligible and it may yet show up. The only thing that makes me warry is that the exact same thing happened with Darin and he was VIGOROUSLY vouched for. Similarly, I waited 4 weeks for his coin and then gave him another two before I got serious. But he didn't respond to emails and just gave me a bad vibe. At least this guy is concerned and is communicating ... so I'll just chill ...
Sorry I should have read the entire thread before responding my bad. I would ask for a corrected insurance number. If he is unable to provide it I would light his butt up on May 4th.
Fletcher, their large volume of feedback indicates to me that they might simply run a mass market operation, rife with the associated poor response and poor customer service.
Frankly, I find paypal to be another way for ebay to clip their users for another couple percent. On the other hand, I've resorted to sending my money orders by certified mail, or at least getting a proof of delivery, depending on the amount of money involved.
Sorry for your troubles.
Edited - Whoops! I see that they claim to have already mailed it insured. Eventually, they will have to file a claim, but the Post Office won't even do that until a certain time has elapsed, and I don't remember how long that is.

Didn't the auction state, prior to bidding, the type of payment that would be acceptable?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

No PayPal was annoying, but the coin arrived safely, and I was pleased with it. No worries...
