Hey Marty. I've been watching some of the prices on certain mods, particularly clad quarters and am starting to think about having some graded.
I was utterly speechless when I saw some of the prices they command.

Picture is too small to see. I am not saying it could not go MS65, but we all know how tight the grading services are right now.

Out of respect for the owner I intentionally cropped this picture so the certification # could not be seen.
I also cropped it so that the auction house's Name could not be seen either. I tracked this piece last night.
It's a PCGS 67 and the last bid shown was $5900. I just checked prices realized and the coin DID NOT SELL.
$5900 plus juice and S/H would have amounted to a tidy sum. I can't believe the coin didn't sell.

Over $6000 for a 59-D that somehow merits being graded PCGS 67 and it didn't sell?
I wouldn't buy it for half that figure.
I think yours is actually nicer, Boom.

Taking it at face value that PCGS does not know who the submitter is, how does this 2nd coin merit the grade, PCGS 67?
