Nice set of Indians on the Bay........

While browsing Indians on Ebay, I ran across this set. Looks to be a really nice in-complete set of Indians. He mentions that some of or all of the coins may have some sort of clear coat on them. The 04 looks like a cameo proof.

They would get body bagged at PCGS.

If you sent them with the clear coat they would get bagged, if you removed it, I don't see why they wouldn't slab.

Maybe he doesn't want to go through the trouble of removing the "protectant" and then shell out the slabbing fees for 39 coins.

I also don't like the description being capitalized. Seller, don't shout at me with rubbish!

The laquer removal is very time consuming and is done under a stereo microscope using tooth picks with the coin alternately in laquer thiner, water, acetone and water again. Then Blue Ribbon must be applied to retore the natural occuring oils on the coin.
Laquer can hide problems - cleaning, hairlines, off-colro, etc. It can also keep nice coins nice. Luckilly, this laquer in this case was used to preserve the coins, rather than cover up problems.
Here's a sample before and after:

Funny I just receive a response to a question that went into a huge story and didn't answer my question. I replied save the story for someone else, I want the coins.....lol
