Well I'll be the nasayer and go with AU58. The rev is nice for the date/mm and the color and planchet again are nice for this yr; but the obv looks to have some color change on the highpoints. Kinda like rub wear; but then again I'm wrong alot.

Often on that date one side or the other looks like mush, that one is very well struck, especially the reverse.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Good catch on the high point wear possibilty on the cheekbone areas. But I have seen far more questionable check bone wear graded MS63RB plus this date/MM is known for weak strikes. Therefore, I will go MS64RB. This is a great example for this date and grade. NICE COIN!

Technically you may be right. No way this coin ever gets put in a 58 holder this choice and with this much red.
I am work and this DA%%% computer is restricted and will not let me post a picture. But if you go to Watersports sets and look at my 63 Red to compare with..Yours has a little stronger strike, I would go 64. Hard to tell about the Red vs Red/Brown.
Ok everyone, thanks for posting. I appreciate your opinions and experience! This coin is currently in an older PCGS holder, probably 2nd or 3rd generation, and is graded at MS64RB. That seems to be what most of the gang surmised anyway. The fields are exceptionally clean with only one little mark in the upper left obverse. The details are very solid too, with just a little bit of chatter, in my opinion, keeping this from a higher grade. A very nice coin indeed. I wasn't aware the 21-s was so notorious for poor strikes; nice to know I've got a good one here! Thanks again to all for their interest and their posts.
Actually some of that is reflections from the light and the fact that this is an old holder. This picture shows the A much better. The M is slightly weak but not as much as this picture seems to indicate.

If the coin were fully brown, or dipped, then maybe. But no way an example with this much original red goes AU, especially this particular date.
