How hard is it to get approved for the Early Coppers group on Yahoo?--Update: I have been approved
I just tried to sign up. I needed to write a 200 word essay explaining why I wanted to join, and then my request to join was submitted to some grand poo-bah for approval. My application is currently pending. How hard is it to join the group? PCGS basically lets any slug in, so I was surprised that there was an application process for the Yahoo group. It sounds pretty exclusive, so I am hoping I get to join.

<< <i>Can you write and essay that is 200 words long??? >>
Are you kidding, he can write a question that long.
The essay surprises me too, I didn't have to write one. But then I've been a member for awhile. We had some problems for a little while with people joining just to spam the list. The essay and approval process was probably put in place to help eliminate the spammers.

<< <i>I don't know where you are getting the "200 word essay" thing. It says to introduce yourself and state why you want to join, in 200 characters or less. >>
That's different.
<< <i>Since Longacre's approval there, his participation here has dropped off a cliff.
I actually have not logged in over there yet. I will probably just read there and post occasionally.
