This was the auction where you wrote "Unfortunately this coin has a spot of the obverse" on the very first line and where the photo clearly shows the spot????

If the buyer was not reading what you wrote and not looking at your photo, what was he basing his bid on????image

So, they should've just said "Item as described" image

Obviously, the dingleberry didn't look before he bid.

You ought to smack him with a retaliatory harshly-worded positive (or a neutral), if you did not already leave him feedback. Something that will tell him to LOOK and READ before bidding.

I would respond under my own feedback with a followup stating that the spot was clearly stated in the unrevised, original description. Even if he didn't bother reading the description, the spot can be clearly seen in the picture. Sorry for the 'poor' positive feedback.

Can't you leave a positive and then post a follow-up comment? or is the follow up only for negs and neutrals?

Yep, you can leave a follow up comment after feedback is left for others. Try this link or go to the Feedback Forum from My eBay.

An idiotic comment like that shouldn't go unanswered.

Here is a "Positive" comment I recently received from a buyer. I'm glad he liked the coin, but doesn't the gripe about the PO seem inappropriate here? Auction closed Sunday evening and I shipped Monday. -Preussen:

"nicest coin I bought on ebay.took sorry ass PO 4 days to go 200miles pathetic"

I think you're giving most eBayers too much credit. 4th grade, tops.

Oh you meant your class.......... image

If only all bidders could be as level headed as the people here.

Problem is that we are dealing with 50 year old buyers with a 4th grade education who act like 2nd grade brats!

"nicest coin I bought on ebay.took sorry ass PO 4 days to go 200miles pathetic"

And soon it's gonna cost a lot more for that 4 day service.

It is a pretty silly venue for a PO complaint. No one ever reads a positive ebay comment except for the feedback recipient.

If I buy a coin on eBay and get it five days after the auction, I am happy! Geez, some people can't be pleased with anything!

Well, let's see if we can hook him up with someone in Canada. I just got a registered packet posted 4/7, yep 12 days ago, which is pretty typical in my experience. Also were packets from Italy and Latvia which were posted on 4/10 within the typical 5 (LOL) to 7 days.
