I agree, LordM. The somewhat interesting coins during the Commonwealth era are probably the 3 silver commemoratives honoring Quezon, Roosevelt, and Murphy (although I heard that Murphy was pretty useless)!
I think you're being very conservative. $350 to $400 is what you might expect for a run of the mill coin in an ANACS or NGC slab. But for a beautifully toned 1908, in a PCGS slab, I'd be surprised if you didn't get at least $450 and maybe more.

The cluttered and inevitably poorly struck insignia of the Central Bank of the Philippines does nothing for me, either. Those coins just aren't as much fun. Tho, as Mr. Filam points out, the 1936 commems are pretty nice.
